How long have you been a budtender?
I have been a budtender with Swell for 14 months.
How long have you been working in the cannabis industry?
I’ve been working in the cannabis industry for 451 days (also 14 months).
What made you want to work with cannabis?
It only made sense for me to work in an industry that heals as well as provides me comfort. I also really enjoy helping others select products that improve their quality of life.
What did you do before you started working in cannabis?
I worked in the mortgage industry. So boring!! (I almost fell asleep thinking about it).
What’s your favorite part of being a budtender?
I enjoy the interactions with the patients. I like meeting new people from different walks of life. I’ve met a lot of cool people.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love competition. I’m the king of all games. From video games to board games to party games. You’re not beating me, at anything, ever.
What’s your preferred method of medicating with cannabis?
I can’t pick just one. I prefer certain methods at certain times. Flame to flower gives me relief the fastest. Tinctures allow me to more accurately gauge my tolerance. Vapes are convenient and discreet. Edibles are delicious and a little goes a long way.

What advice do you have for people interested in getting an Arizona Medical Marijuana card?
Good idea! Do it! There is no better medicine than cannabis (in my opinion). It provides so much relief for so many ailments for me. I was at a point where I thought I was going to be uncomfortable and unhappy forever, and then there was medical marijuana.
